Roman Iievskyi

Principal flute - Kendlinger's K&K Philharmoniker

" I was really impressed when I found such small but very useful thing like lefreQue. This innovation has helped me a lot with overtones, sound production and response of different notes. All together my lefreQue  helps me to concentrate on the flow of the piece much better- especially in large concert halls - because I don’t worry anymore about how some notes will sound at the end of the hall and feel more free to perform at my best. I really love it and appreciate this opportunity !"

After being born in 1996 in Ukraine at the small city Kirovohrad (Kropyvnytsky) Roman IIevskyi began to study the recorder in Kirovohrad Music School #2 at the age of 6. After 3 years he decided to study flute at the same school in the class of Volodymyr Zalewskyi. After finishing in 2012, he went to a Kirovohrad Music College and graduated with honors at 2016. He then went to Lviv where he entered the Lviv National Music Academy in the class of Olena Pavlenko. In 2020 Roman received a bachelor’s degree with honors.

During the whole study Roman was an active participator in different international master-classes, among which: Masterclasses of D. Bouriakov (principal flute of the Los Angeles Philharmonic) at Johanes Brahms Conservatory in Hamburg, Toon Fret (Belgium), Alexis Kosenko (France), Maria Semotiuk (Ukraine – Netherlands), Janos Balint (Hungary), Andras Adorjan (Hungary – Denmark) and Michie Bennett (UK). In 2015 Roman received a scholarship from Altus UK for studying at William Bennett International Summer School (Italy, Sale-Marasino).
